12/17/11 Fishing Report

Hit a local lake with the neighbor today. Upon arrival he fired up the Solo and proceeded to make swiss cheese for the next 15 minutes, drilling a grid out in the main lake basin about 75 yards long and 50 yards wide. Then we proceeded to put the smackdown on the fish all day long, many many nice fish released, including some pig white crappies. At the end of the day I came home with 9 eater crappies and 6 eater gills but the number of fish we caught today we would have limited out many times over. All of my fish today were caught on the Pink Lindy Fatboy tipped with euros.

Nice to see quite a few year classes caught with crappies measuring 4.5" , many in the 7-9 inch range and up to the big fish of the day at 13". A Pike, a perch and a walleye in the mix of caught fish as well.
